The Unknown Benefits Of Vitamin E

Vitamin E is one of those funny vitamins. Very few people authentically know what it's good for. Maybe that's because it's not as widely talked about as vitamins like C, which is supposed to be good for fighting off colds and vitamin A, which is supposed to be good for your eye site. If you think I'm kidding, have you ever seen a rabbit with glasses? But vitamin E is a very misunderstood vitamin. Well, hopefully, after reading this article, you'll have a better idea of what vitamin E is good for.

First, a true story. When I was a kid, I got into a lot of trouble. I was just looking for it. Well, one day I got into a scrape with this kid who ended up taking a tree subject to the side of my face. Well, don't ask. I had a cut that went from just below my right eye all the way down to my cheek, and deep as all heck. Well, I went home and my mother, after screaming like a banshee, sat me down and went to the refrigerator to get out, of all things, a bottle of vitamin E capsules. At first I thought the woman had lost her mind. But she then proceeded to take the capsules, cut then in half with a knife, and pour the contents, which I have to say smelled like, well, let's just say they didn't smell good, onto my face. She did this daily for about a week. By the time the scab disappeared, about two weeks later, there was authentically no sign of any scar. It was as if I had never been cut at all.

Vitamine

Now, if vitamin E has that kind of healing power on your face, imagine what it can do from the inside. But that's not the only benefit of vitamin E that many people don't know about. Vitamin E authentically helps your immune system. While most people think that it's vitamin C only that keeps us from getting sick, it's authentically vitamin E that pumps up our immune theory so that we are more unyielding to colds.

The Unknown Benefits Of Vitamin E

You do have to be specific with vitamin E because unlike vitamin C, which is immediately secreted in the urine, vitamin E can be toxic if you go way beyond the recommended daily allowance. So consult with your nutritionist before you determine on how much vitamin E you're going to take.

The truth is, there is still a lot about vitamin E that we don't know. Some studies show that their might be some benefit from vitamin E in relation to problems like heart disease and diabetes, but the jury is still out on a lot of things when it comes to this mysterious vitamin.

All I know is that I don't have to worry about anybody calling me scarface in my old age.
